A Community Tradition in the Making
The Second Annual SLA Kids Day took place at the beautiful Fifty Point Conservation Area, and by all accounts, it was a huge success! With over 150 kids and their families joining us for a fun-filled day, it’s clear this event is quickly becoming a cherished tradition in our community.
Spearheaded by the dedicated volunteers of the SLA Fishing Club, Kids Day is an opportunity for the next generation to connect with nature, learn the basics of fishing, and create lasting memories with friends and family.
Young anglers learned:
Casting techniques
How to properly hook bait
Catch and release best practices
Water safety essentials
And new this year — canoeing adventures that added a whole new layer of excitement!
Kids Day would not be possible without our incredible volunteers and the generous sponsors who help bring the day to life. Your support ensures this event remains fun and educational for all who attend.
We’re already looking forward to next year!
