One of the best perks of being an SLA member is FREE ENTRY into the SLA Big Fish Contest! A highlight of the season for anglers of all levels.

In this exciting competition, the angler who lands the largest fish in each species category takes the prize. In 2025, winners across 10 species categories each received a $200 gift certificate from Grimsby Tackle.

For 2026, we’re raising the stakes by adding Channel Catfish to the lineup, bringing the total to 11 species categories and 11 chances to win!
